Parasaurolophus — Full Skeleton
A herbivore poised between two legs and four.
Mounted at thirty-one feet and standing nine feet tall, this cast captures a fully grown herbivore mid-stride, the long tail counterbalancing a deep, muscular body. The crest crowns the assembly, drawing the eye along the spine from beak to tail in a single continuous line that commands the centre of any hall.
The mount is hand-assembled and finished, each vertebra and limb articulated to reflect the posture of an animal able to move on two legs or four.
Parasaurolophus is estimated to have reached roughly ten metres in length and on the order of two to three tonnes in mass.
It lived during the Late Cretaceous, approximately seventy-six to seventy-three million years ago, in what is now western North America.
Its jaws held hundreds of tightly packed teeth forming dental batteries that ground tough vegetation.
