A faithful cast of one of the most studied predatory skulls ever recovered, reproduced at full scale in resin so that the fenestrae, the fused nasal bones, and the thick conical teeth resolve in precise detail. Mounted at standing height, it presents the deep, forward-facing snout that gave this animal a wide field of binocular overlap and the reinforced jaw that delivered one of the most powerful bites yet inferred for a land animal.
Each cast is hand-finished, the surface toned to the warm grey-brown of mineralised bone and the sutures picked out by hand to preserve the texture of the original specimen.

The skull of a large adult Tyrannosaurus rex could approach five feet in length, among the largest known for any land predator.

Its teeth were thick and conical rather than blade-like, the largest reaching roughly a foot in length including the root, and built to withstand the stresses of crushing bone.

Bite-force estimates for an adult fall in the region of 35,000 to 57,000 newtons at the rear teeth, among the highest inferred for any terrestrial animal.

The form is Tyrannosaurus rex, an animal of the Hell Creek Formation — the river plains and cypress swamps that covered Montana and the Dakotas through the last two million years of the Cretaceous. It is the closing chapter of the age of dinosaurs; the rock directly above the layer these skulls come from records the asteroid. Henry Fairfield Osborn named the animal in 1905. A mature skull runs to roughly five feet, carrying banana-thick teeth and a bite estimated among the most powerful ever measured in a land animal, with eyes set forward for binocular sight. Almost every complete tyrannosaur skull ever found is held by a museum or a private buyer at auction — which is the entire reason a cast exists.
